The hotel's decoration is simply charming, with its traditional Portuguese style and cozy ambiance. The general areas are well-maintained and exude a warm and inviting atmosphere. As a senior person, I especially appreciated the hotel's accessibility, with easy ramps and handrails in place to ensure my safety and convenience.
The only thing I would ask for a better vacation for senior people is a dedicated assistance service to help with luggage and guide us through the hotel's facilities. Sometimes, the children working there seemed a bit overwhelmed and not fully attentive to our needs.

The terrace, where guests can enjoy a drink, is a delightful spot to unwind and take in the surrounding beauty of the mountains. The bright rooms with views of the mountains or outdoor pool provide a serene and picturesque atmosphere that is truly refreshing. The hotel offers a complimentary buffet breakfast daily, allowing guests to start their day off on the right foot with a variety of delicious options. The staff at the hotel are incredibly accommodating and friendly, always going above and beyond to ensure a pleasant stay for guests. The outdoor pool, surrounded by a sun-lounger terrace, is the perfect place to relax and soak up the sun while enjoying the stunning scenery.
Limited availability of sun beds is a minor issue that could be improved for the convenience of all guests.

The hotel is a historic gem, once a nobleman's house from the 17th century, beautifully restored with elegance. the staff is friendly and helpful, and the breakfast offers freshly squeezed orange juice, freshly baked croissants, and fresh fruits. the rooms, although small, are compensated by the stunning views from the veranda. the hotel also offers facilities such as a pool table and sauna, providing additional entertainment.
The shower in the bathroom is a bit inconvenient, as it is a stand, in, the, bath type with a small glass screen.

I absolutely adored the hotel's decoration and ambiance. The elegant and careful restoration of the former nobleman's house from the 17th century brought a sense of history and charm to every corner. The general areas were tastefully decorated, making it a delight to relax and enjoy the serene atmosphere. As a senior woman, I also greatly appreciated the hotel's accessibility. The staff made sure that the necessary accommodations were in place, such as handrails and ramps, making it easier for me to navigate around the property.
My only wish for a better vacation for senior people would be to have more assistance from the children working there. While they were friendly and helpful, it would have been nice to have someone readily available to provide assistance and address any concerns that we may have had.

The breakfast at Hotel Rural Casa De Samaioes was absolutely delicious. They served freshly squeezed orange juice, freshly baked croissants, and an assortment of fresh fruits. The dining room also offered stunning views of the beautiful surroundings. The hotel staff were kind and accommodating, always ready to assist with any requests. Despite the smaller size of the rooms, the excellent breakfast and helpful staff made up for it. The hotel also had various facilities such as a pool table and a sauna, although we discovered them ourselves as the staff didn't inform us. The property itself had a serene atmosphere, which added to the overall pleasant experience.

I gotta say, for the price we paid, our stay was totally worth it. The room exceeded my expectations - it was clean, well-maintained, and gave off a cozy vibe. Plus, the hotel's location was perfect, offering breathtaking views that made me feel like I was in another world. And let's not forget the staff - they were absolutely amazing, always ready to help and make us feel right at home.
Now, don't get me wrong, the breakfast was great overall. But if I had to suggest one improvement, it would be to expand the breakfast menu a bit more.
